Welcome to the Helmholtz-Institut für Strahlen- und Kernphysik webpage

The Helmholtz-Institut für Strahlen- und Kernphysik is one of four institutes in the  physics and astronomy department of the faculty for mathematics and sciences of the Rheinische Friedrich-Wilhelms University Bonn.

 

The research focus lies on experimental and theoretical hadron and nuclear physics as well as laser spectroscopy, solid state and applied physics.

   

 

Due to COVID-19 restrictions, the institute is in minimal operation mode since Dec 16th, 2020. This applies to research and education.

The building stays closed to the public until further notice.
