Flavor symmetries and final-state interactions in hadronic decays

A precise study of final-state interactions is becoming of paramount importance for understanding  the most diverse aspects of hadronic decays: Not only to account for the fundamental decay mechanism but also in order to study the dynamics of the light decay products. On the basis of the successful description of three-body D decays in the first funding period we shall study additional weak three-body decays of heavy-flavored mesons in order to open a novel perspective beyond light-meson scattering dynamics with particular emphasis on future precision investigations of CP violation.
