S-matrix solution of Lippmann-Schwinger equation for regular and singular potentials

José A. Oller (Murcia)

We have derived a new method based on S-matrix theory to solve the Lippmann-Schwinger equation in partial waves that can be applied to both ordinary and singular potentials.  This method is based on a new nonsingular integral equation derived from the Lippmann-Schwinger equation.  We discuss its application to the 1S0 NN partial wave in the framework of Chiral Effective Field Theory.  Results for regular and singular interactions are presented and the relations with results of the Lippmann-Schwinger equation renormalized with counter terms are studied.
