Heavy quarkonium production and decay in the NRQCD factorization method

Ying Fan (Beijing)

Since proposed in the 1990s, the non-relativistic QCD (NRQCD) factorization theory has been applied to calculate the production rates and decay widths of heavy quarkonia at colliders.  In this talk, I will briefly introduce its formalism, the factorization framework, and show how to determine both QCD and relativistic correction effects to heavy quarkonium production and decay by matching this effective field theory and full QCD theory.
