Lattice QCD and Flavor Physics

Andreas S. Kronfeld

In this colloquium, I report on recent results from lattice QCD pertaining to flavor physics. After some highlights of lattice QCD, I show results that not only pin down the (many) parameters of the flavor sector of elementary particles, but also aid the search for new physics in quark-flavor experiments. Finally, I discuss the status of and prospects for similar calculations that are important in dark matter searches and in neutrino scattering.

The kolloquium will start at 16.30h.
