Quarkonium production and decay
Y. Jia (IHEP) / A. Vairo (TUM)
Summary
Heavy quarkonium physics has developed considerably in the last twenty years because of the
enormous flow of new data, mainly coming from the B factories, and because of the theoretical
progress, mostly driven by the development of non-relativistic effective field theories. Here, we
utilize and refine the so-called potential non-relativistic QCD, pNRQCD, which resolves distances
of order 1/(mv2) or larger. The aim of the project is to compute heavy quarkonium widths and
production cross sections in the framework of pNRQCD, with focus on a controlled inclusion of
non-perturbative contributions.
